Does anyone know of an online supplier of bushings for cast iron radiators?
these are about 1/2 the height of a normal bushing, and my local plumbing suppliers have no ideas.

I've also seen them referred to as tank bushings.

dimensions and appearance. i need this radiator to take up as little space as possible.
the threads on this radiator bottom out at 1/2" and that leaves better than an inch of threads hanging out the side. its a small bath, and i need that inch.

Best chance is to find another radiator with them and try and re-use them. Nobody makes them anymore.

basically, but the bushings and plug i'm looking for are shorter than the usual plumbing fittings and only have about half the number of external threads.
they look like this:
0.75in-0.5in-brass-reducing-bush-shallow.jpg

or sometimes they have a flange like this:
1.25in-0.5in-cast-iron-reducing-bush.jpg

the items picture above are available in the UK with the correct dimensions, but they have different thread patterns.

sizes needed are
1 1/2 x 3/4 1 bushing & 1 plug
1 1/4 x 3/4 1 bushing

You may be looking for something called a "radiator valve extension"

If you are able to find one with the right threads, and the only problem is just height, brass is very soft and can be grinded down to size.
