I recently purchased a new home. Discovered that the cold water handle on the delta faucet is a bit loose. The tub is free standing. The faucet and handles are deck mounted. How do obtain access to tighten the loose cold water handle? I don’t see any way to tighten the handle. Thanks in advance for your help.

Under the boy and cold indices should be a Phillips screw. Use a sharp knife and gently pop them off or screw them off from there you should see a Phillips screw where you tighten it back .

Thank you. I will try that, although I’d previously looked for a cap that would pry off and didn’t see one. I will look again.

  • Most Delta faucet handles have a set screw located under a decorative cap on the handle. Gently pry off the cap using a flathead screwdriver.
  • Once you’ve exposed the set screw, use an Allen wrench (usually 1/8 inch) to tighten it. Turn the wrench clockwise until the handle is snug.
  • After tightening, check the handle to make sure it moves smoothly and isn’t too tight.
  • If everything is working correctly, replace the decorative cap.
