A.O Smith FCV 50 water heater. Burner started going out and has escalated to the pilot light only staying on when I have the button pressed down. I have replaced the Thermocouple, pilot light and igniter unit and it didn't make a difference so I replaced the gas control valve and still no difference.
What should I look at next?

If your heater has an FVIR system, that could have been activated and it will not allow the heater to be lit until it is reset or replaced. BUT some heaters have a "one time" system and if it activates you basically have to replace the heater. I do not know how old your heater is so cannot advise if this could be the problem.
