I've plumbed a 3/4" dishwasher wye into my kitchen drain. When I received the dishwasher I found that the rubber end of the corrugated plastic drain line can mate with a 5/8" drain or a 1" drain. There is no way I can clamp the 1" rubber female fitting over male 3/4" wye and have it not leak.

There is probably a common solution to this but it is not apparent to me at the moment. Can anyone enlighten me?

This is what dishwasher connections are designed for, 5/8". https://www.homedepot.com/p/1-1-2-in-x-8-in-Plastic-Dishwasher-Branch-Tailpiece-PP931-8PVC/304826866?cm_mmc=Shopping|G|Base|All-Products|All|All|PLA|71700000014585962|58700001236285396|92700010802552406&gclid=CjwKCAjw0ZfoBRB4EiwASUMdYUMKso-FJWpLHFzEmtG73vwOTRnCyXEBu46yCZ3EixxtiUno3cXYEBoCMRQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

The Dishwasher Connector Kit fits 1/2", 5/8", or 3/4" hose connections. This may work for you.

Garbage disposals are also 5/8" connection from dishwashers.
