I have a small leak coming from the spout.

I would like to replace ..... instead of fix.

I will install a ball valve on supply line before starting this project, so the question is...

Would I be able to "sweat" these fittings off in order to un-screw the old bib?

Or do some cutting... and replace the whole section?

I plan on installing a Woodford.

All help will be appreciated...........Thanks....1st post.

That male thread is the end of the hose bib, it is sweated onto the copper.

I'd unsweat it from the elbow and sweat in a female adapter to thread the new one in.
