I have a mansfield wall hydrant model 500. I have rebuilt the stem and have a problem. When I turn the faucet off and tighten the handle everything works. Here is the problem.. when I turn the faucet back to full stream, the handle is loose,when I tighten the handle from full on position and turn the handle to the off position, the water remains on. Thanks. cully.

I would guess you have something loose, take it apart again and check.
