I installed my first Korky 528MP after the original equipment fill valve in my TOTO toilet would no longer adjust the waterline in the tank below the top of the overflow. It was quick and easy. A quarter-turn valve sets the refill rate. It is positive and doesn't leak. It occurs to me that this adjustment allows the water level in the bowl to be optimized for each individual installation. If your toilet is not perfectly level front-to-back, you might have a little more or less water in the bowl than was designed for. With refill control, you can maximize the bowl level without overfilling and wasting water. And when service is needed, the 528MP takes the same Replacement Cap Assembly as the other Korky fill valves.
