How do you determine the trunk size for 3 ton

Hello i am just curious on how to determine truck size for 3 ton payne electric heat pump hvac system 1800 sqaure ft home

You need to know the temperature rise and drop across the exchanger and the CFM of the blower. Then you need to know how many btu's each room requires and the heat loss of the structure. IOW, not a task for the uninitiated

I would not try to put it in a car trunk but it should fit nice in a full size truck. You may need to pull a trailer for all the ducts etc. My gas pack Payne unit is 48X32.
