Hot Mopping a shower How Long do you wait before Hot moping on new cement?

The contractor poured concrete yesterday. He wanted to have them Hot mop it these morning. I told them no. The concrete is still wet. How long should you let the concrete dry before Hot moping the bathroom. Handy cap shower with no doors>

Good for you!
A day old concrete is not dry yet.
I would wait a few days.
BTW, most concrete reach full strength in 4 weeks.

Concrete needs to shed the excess water and in the process of curing and drying, will shrink a fair amount in the first week, and as said, industry standards call for a 28-day wait. There is a product that is recommended for green concrete that allows you to tile as soon as you can walk on it, but that's not what you want to waterproof a shower (FWIW, Ditra's installation instructions allow you to tile over green concrete).
