Hi all,
We moved into an older house last August. There are no markings on the stem valve, but the hand sprayer holder says Grohe and the diverter handle matches the Grohe style. Being a fiberglass shower stall with no signs of retrofitting, I would assume the handles are also Grohe. However Grohe support responded that it is NOT theirs.
I've combed various resources online and have yet to match the picture attached with any models available. This is the 1/4 turn cold side control. It would barely rotate. Eventually I used a butane torch for a minute and that loosened it up. I also cleaned up the parts which appear to be in good shape, with Lime Away. But after install there was now a slow drip that I could not stop. After taking it back out I did notice a little new sediment and build up. I plan to try again, perhaps putting some approved grease on the discs and seals.
But before I do, I was curious of anyone could identify it in case it still drips.
Thanks in advance.
Greg
