We've had the pigslop award for some time now.

But what are the best tips you have received on this forum?

I am going to edit this post as new people give me life-changing advice. Apologies to anyone I have overlooked.

These awards recognise excellence in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and remodelling for those that have made a significant contribution to my greater awareness and understanding of these issues.

My current nominees are:

jadnashua for his lead role in nipples

frenchie for hammer drill

Gary Swart for rotary hammer drill

Redwood (stuntman) in garden faucet protector

Howard Emerson for best visual effects in tiling a fireplace surround

A lifetime achievement award for Scuba Dave in how to insulate an attic door

Not that it really matters, but I believe it was me that recommended the hammer drill first. For what it's worth, Grizzly Industrial sells them now for $75 and than includes an assortment of chisels and bits. These are not heavy duty 8 hours a day demolition tools, but very handy for drill or chipping concrete.

It does matter Gary.

I think this post deserves a sticky.
