Like many, I run a root killer down the septic line 1-2x per year.

ZEP is a common product here (little blue granules). https://zep.com/products/root-kill-zroot24

Does this product require a 'foaming agent' be mixed with it before pouring down the downstairs toilet or cleanout?

Local Box store used to sell a little 'foaming agent' powder next to the ZEP, but not seeing it anymore so wondering if this even needs it or not.

Thanks.

(I did try a different product a year back (https://www.roebic.com/foaming-root-killer.shtml) but was not a fan. It had a foaming agent in the bottle w/ it but it was hard, difficult to pour out of the bottle etc. ZEP worked in the past as I saw gobs of roots when septic was pumped 2 years back)
