Connecting two air injection (iron filter) systems in parallel

I am extremely limited in vertical space in my installation area. I plan to add a 2nd bathroom later as well as a full laundry (currently one bathroom and small kitchen with dishwasher). I am currently installing a 1.0 cu. ft. "catalytic carbon" air injection system with fleck 5600 valve.

Can I add a 2nd identical air injection filter later, and install it in parallel with the first one, for higher flow rate when I add the 2nd bathroom? It seems that the two would more or less "auto balance" based on the condition of the media and this should work in theory but I am probably missing something.

If you balance the plumbing you should do just fine.

No such thing as auto balancing. Both units must be identical and plumbed on a balanced header. Plumbing must be identical to both units. Tee into both units off of the header then cap the end or install a gauge or make the end part of the bypass. First in last out.

Great pics but... Nothing negative meant by this but the duplex 2900 pictured is a single meter design and would typically be a system 7 twin alternating system. A system 7 does not need to be balanced. Unless the system is programmed as a system 6, "series regeneration" which is very rarely used due to its inherent inefficiencies, the balanced plumbing looks great and is the right way to do it, but is also unnecessary. If that is your work, nicely done, but watch you air gaps.

It is a system 7 and you are right technically unnecessary but i do it anyways incase if future changes but mostly because it looks better than some jumbled pile of crap.
