clanking bathroom toilet

When we flush the toilet in our master bathroom it makes a strange sound(sounds like we are trying to flush a wrench down, clanking noise). It does not happen every time or very often. This morning for the first time it happened at the sink. Our house is 10 years old

Noises can occur a long way away from where you "hear" them, so someone would have to be there while it is happening so they could diagnose what it is and where it is coming from.
