I have a drain 1.5" line with p trap from the kitchen to the exit 2in pipe. There is also a dish washing machine plumbed into the sink drain line.
I am adding a clothing washing machine beside the dish washer and would like to plumb into this line.
SHOULD I add a 2nd dedicated drain line from the clothing washer to the exit down line to sewer OR can I tie into the existing line?
THANKS

Washer drain

A clothes washer requires a 2" drain. The sink and dw drain is only 1-1/2", so you'd be open for real problems. Add a 2" trapped standpipe for the clothes washer.

Actually, the kitchen sink drain should also be 2", so it is already undersized. The washing machine drainage must be done correctly. The p-trap should be 6-18" off the floor. The standpipe 18-30" in height. This must also be vented through the roof or tie in with another vent 6" above the flood rim level of the fixture. Install a cleanout--lint can be a problem in washing machine drainage lines.
