I am installing a dishwasher across from the sink. How do I set up the drain? I have a full basement with ample access to existing drain lines.

Forget the sink and repipe water and DWV to the DW...

It's often tapped at the sink cause DW is often where the sink is.
But since it's across....just treat it like a standalone plumbing fixture and pipe accordingly

BUT one WITH an air gap fitting in the countertop. The "high loop" configuration will NOT pass inspection in this instance.
