    Well pump chattering

    I have any old galvanized pressure tank serviced by a new submersible pump. A loud chattering sound starts up when the pump activates at 30 psi, then stops at about 35, then starts up again at about 45 until the switch turns off at 50. Can anyone tell me what's going on? Steve B.
