    Well not doing well

    My water level falls down to the bottom of the well where the pump is, but never really quits pumping just slows down and the pressure gauge bounces from 10 to 20. My question is as long as water is around the pump will it eventually harm the pump, or can it just keep pumping like that alot?

    Valveman, I have a 10 gpm pump, but if I only pull about 7gpm usually I dont suck air. Sometimes when I am not looking my kids will open up a couple of hoses(full blast) up front away from me, and I can run out of water.Just wanted something to shut it down when I am at work. thanks
