sump pump discharges into hole that's wider than pipe - need advice
We have a 1 1/2" pipe discharging water back into the ground but the hole in the ground is about 5". What can I do or use to keep that hole from filling with rainwater and snow? Thanks for any suggestions!- newhomeowner99

What is the best place for sump pump to discharge?
I am new homeowner and experienced my first flooded basement several weeks ago. I would really appreciate some advice.
