Thanks guys, went to a local plumber supply and he recommended a metal ring that fits over the existing flange, I anchored it with some tapcons through the original flange and it's stable as a rock and doesn't leak.

How could this be done?

Are there any alternatives to using spanner flanges? It's all I've ever had to do short of replacing the entire flange. I've seen what look like entire metal rings sitting on top of the pvc but that seems like it would cause a leak, and I think I'd have a difficult time securing it seeing as I...
