Well pump feeding into buried 1K cistern which feeds into buried pressure tank chamber. It's always wet in there. There's a sump pump which works but it's always damp in there. Just had third control box replaced. Nasty corroded. The lids to these underground vaults are big round green plastic about a yard or 40 inches across. I was just wondering if venting the pressure tank vault (idk the correct term) would somehow keep it dryer. Would just like some comments/ideas.

You could move the control box outside of the vault.

If your pump is 3/4 HP or less, you can go to a 2-wire pump when you swap pumps. Grundfos has SQ 3-inch pumps that can do 1.5 HP on two wire.
