British company Captive Media thinks it has developed a product that fills a gap in the market - a urinal mounted, urine-controlled games console for men.

Toilet humour: Leader boards appeal to players' competitive streak

It calls it the first "hands-free" video gaming console of its kind.
The sturdy device sits above the normal oval ceramic urinal bowl, opening up a whole new world of entertainment.

The console is able to detect where the urine is falling by means of an infra-red device.
And so a rudimentary "joystick" is set up.

I wonder how one "inputs" one's name. Sure don't want to touch a screen that has been touched by guys who were just handling their man parts.

Maybe it's like a takeoff on that George Carlin bit about standing in front of an old-timey "floor console model" urinal, in front of which Carlin suggested that the first thing one did was to "inscribe your initials on the urinal". Maybe the same technique could be used to input your name on the game's leader board.

Who is at the urinal so long that they get bored? It knows where the "stream" is aimed so maybe you input the name that way using a virtual keyboard. Sort of takes the fun away if you only have enough volume to enter your name, or cannot finish the game. Maybe a take off on the Clinton story. Someone wrote with "yellow water" in the snow on the White House lawn. Bill Clinton told the FBI to investigate. They came back and said, "It was Mitchell's urine, but Hillary's handwriting".
