Wye & 1/8 bend or Combo installed in a vertical position.

Hello friends,

from what I have learned thru researching on the internet. it suggested the Wye are not to be use in a vertical position to make transition from horizontal to vertical (fixture outlet to waste stack). How does Pic 3 below PASS inspection?

I am located in Edmonton Alberta, Canada
the Garage is heated.
The work was done by certified Plumber - it PASS- but I want to understand HOW it pass

2" along the wall, 1.5" vent pipe, 2" waste stack

Wye installed on VERTICAL position-- HOW DOES this meet code?

There is absolutely NOTHING in the code that prevents it, UNLESS it is the connection of an unvented sink arm into the riser pipe, in which case it MUST be a sanitary tee or back to back fixture fitting.
