i have a deep well submersible pump and it works great. i only turn it on to water my yard and fill my water tanks that are about 20 meters up on the top of my house. i am using 3/4 inch garden hose that i connect to another 3/4 hose going up to the tanks when i need to fill . will the pump shut itself off if the hose gets crimped? will it do any damage to the pump?

Pump could be damaged if that went on for a while. You could put in a 75 psi (common rating, inexpensive item) pressure relief valve that would release water if the hose got kinked.

If the pump is controlled by an on/off switch and not a pressure switch, a kink in the hose would likely destroy the pump.
