Hi Terry,
I just join the forum and found the info you have very useful. The moderator and yourself seem to be active in responding and helping forum members. I never run forum like this myself, and don't know about the cost of maintaining it. but looking at the threads posting, it seems like the threads are adding up pretty fast. I don't know if it's okay to suggest in this forum. If not just delete it. :) I wonder why you don't add Google ads to your site. It may be a bit annoying to other members, but it could be a little added income to maintain the forums. Btw, I have no affiliation with Google what so ever!! I just know others who have made money from it.

Yuck!

While I've often wondered how the web site gets funded.... adding "pop-ups" or the like will immediately get me to move on.......... I'd rather pay a fee to use it..........

No Selling Out!

Ditto... it's refreshing to finally have a place to get info and not be inundated with advertising - THANK YOU TERRY!!! I would definitely rather pay for the service than have advertising.

Not the pop-up type

Pay a fee is another option. But I'd rather have ads than paying. :) And I think having the pay the fee may deter some people who contribute to this forums. But, I'm not suggesting the pop-up type though. I hate pop-up!! Btw, this is off the topic but those of you who still get pop-up, if you're using Windows XP, install Service Pack 2 which you can download from Microsoft web site. You can turn on pop-up blocker with SP2.

I do have a business here where I sell products.

If I were to use some ad programs, they would be popping up ads for other business that I compete with.
They would be getting a "free ride" for all the work that I do on providing information.
This doesn't make sense.
I like it when I can sell products and that makes this thing worth doing.
While I can't ship toilets all over, I can do a good job with the Seattle area.
So anytime I get orders locally here, it helps.
There are a few mail order things I sell too,
bidet seats, and shower heads.
It's always nice to see those orders.

I would consider non-compete type products at some time, if the pages loaded quickly and didn't look out of place here.

its ok with me

Terry, personally I am tired of looking at your face at
the top of this web site..... (just kidding)

you could use a change of venue..

If next you your logo their were some sort of banners,

it would not bother me any at all...

plumbing advertisements, ect,, nice looking ladies.....

I am trying to get my hands on the next years
RIGID 2006 tool calender before they
are all scarfed up and gone ...
the calender girls are great..

I am sure you have seen them by now...

now that would be a hot seller for you to
all the plumbers out there.

you should get hold of RIGID..and see
what they would do for you.

lol... well what about me, Master Mark? I'm certainly not that interested in the Rigid tool girls, so let's not go crazy and say that all the plumbers would love it :p

but maybe I could arrange to put out my own "counter-calendar" of the Terry Love Forum butt cracks at work... might not be pretty, but I bet it would sell! Any submissions?

you are right about that

yes , their are some pretty damn ugly plumbers
out there......I guess it goes with the job

Theirs nothing better than comming into work every morning
to count the pimples on your employees butts
to really start you off in a great mood
first thing in the morning, is there.???

My motto goes ---
if their is lint in their crack---- just stand back-----
because you know they havent bathed in a few days.

they cant dress themselves, bathe properly,
and look and act like a bunch of dumb apes.
grunting and scratching......
...and to top it all off they cant figure
out why no ladies find them attractive......DUH....

I half way threatend to post one guys behind on the internet once
I could not get him to wear a belt.
I let him move on this summer and
I dont miss that pretty site one bit.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

but at least with the claender girls hanging in my
office , I can still have something better to look
at and dream about..

I can vouch that I am a but-ugly plumber but I looooooooooooooove calender girls of any product endorsement!!! :D :D Show us them knicker............bockers! Ads on websites don't bother me a bit; these sites aren't free, never will be. Anyone that would leave Terry's site because there are ads isn't of good nature since that would be purely selfish on their part. I would ask each and every one of them to leave if it was my website. Advertising is a part of life, get over it.

terry,
i'm surprised you dont have sponsors. i belong to a ford site with the same layout as yours. fordtruckenthusiasts.com. they must have 20 sponsors who offset some of the costs.

Terry,

Not that you especially want me here... but --- I really enjoy your site "as is"..... and love adding to the frivolity while possibly assisting some less informed than me.

Change nothing - and send me the bill...... I'll be happy to remit as much as I've charged so far. :p

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...

It looks like you're using an ad blocker. We get it, but (1) terrylove.com can't live without ads, and (2) ad blockers can cause issues with videos and comments. If you'd like to support the site, please allow ads.

If any particular ad is your REASON for blocking ads, please let us know. We might be able to do something about it. Thanks.
