Which Toto toilet to cover large footprint

Hello all, new user here.

I recently bought a condo that has a large space the tiles don't cover in the master bath, and the current toilet doesn't cover this footprint. The hole is roughly 9" by 19" and the photos below should show more specific dimensions.

I have two questions:
1) How much cost and hassle would it be to repair the tiles and make the hole smaller? We have 16 spare tiles. I'm thinking it would be less cost and hassle to just get a nice new toilet that covers this footprint properly, but I'd love second opinions.

2) I'm considering the Carlyle II and the Guinevere. I like the Carlyle's looks better, but after doing some geometry I'm pretty sure two corners of the hole would still be peeking out under the front of it. Could those corners be filled in with caulk? Or is it way better to get the Guinevere and be sure of covering the entire hole?

Thanks much! If anyone knows other Toto toilets that cover large footprints, I'm interested in hearing about those too.

OK... not a top view, but it was the view you wanted of the floor coverage.

I like that one more than Guinevere and Lloyd, but maybe you will think different.

Soiree costs more than some, but it is a one piece, and it includes the seat. It is available for pick up, delivery, and even installation in your area I think... http://terrylove.biz/toilets/38-toto-soiree-one-piece-toilet.html

My brother's father in-law loves these ceramic (might be cultured marble) ones he picked up some years ago. He likes to install them under the toilet when he does hardwood. If you could find one you could thinset and grout it before the toilet install.

Thank you very much, Reach4 and JRC3!

I am heartened that no one said fixing the tiles is the best approach, so that's de facto permission for me to just hide the hole without worrying about it. :D

Between the Soiree and Guinevere, I like the Guinevere's looks better, and the old-fashioned style should go well with the '70s vanity and sink in the same bathroom. I would go with Soiree if that wasn't a factor.

I never even realized there was such a thing as toilet base plates -- interesting! I'll keep it in mind for the other bathroom, but since I don't have thinset and grout experience (yet -- this new place needs all sorts of fixes), I'm biting the bullet and going with the Guinevere. Being in the Seattle area, I can even have Terry et al. install it as I watch over their shoulder and ask newb questions.

Thanks again. I will update this thread with photos afterwards.

Terry had no problems with me watching over his shoulder and asking noob questions :D
And the new toilet looks great. I think it goes well with the old vanity. The photos below show it before it was caulked. (Ignore the fisheye distortion from my phone camera, the tank is actually quite level.)

Well this is a Plumbing/Toilet forum. If you had asked at the tile forum http://www.johnbridge.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1 you probably would have been told to "repair the tile" first, then buy whatever toilet you want.

It is a pretty dope toilet. This way she spent nothing on tiling, and all the money went to something nice.
We do this a lot for wood floors too. To refinish wood flooring can cost a lot. Dropping a larger footprint down shifts the money from the flooring to buying something really nice.
