I am in the process of running new drain lines for my bathroom. I currently have to possible layouts and and trying to determine which on is best. Option 1 in my image would have 5 45degree horizontal bends to get to the tub if I did my count right. Which I am not sure if it is too much, Option 2 is running the drain the opposite way which would give me 3 45degree horizontal bends for both the tub and shower. The stack the toilet comes off of is vented with a 3 inch pipe and and the sink and tub would be vented with an 1-1/2" vent at sink.
A second question I have is about pipe size. I was going to run 2" pipe for my tub and sink but did not know if that would even make a difference. The vent is only an 1-1/2" so not sure if 2" pipe would do anything since the vent is smaller.
