This is what is in the floor now. Had to replace toilet which had plumbers putty? all around to seal. Jones Stephens Co. states to use jumbo wax ring which is as round as a standard wax ring, just twice the thickness. This opening is oval shaped. Showed a pic to a plumber of 48 years and he had never seen one. The older gentleman at Home Depot had never seen this either.

You can stack wax rings if you need more thickness. If stacking, Terry would use one with a horn for the top ring.

You can also mold the wax. You can combine rings.

Set the toilet in place with no wax. Position shims to prevent rocking before the wax is in place. Lift the toilet. Place the wax. Drop the toilet. You want wax to compress, and not de-compress.

How does your plastic offset closet flange sit with respect to the level of the floor. Have the camera looking down at the flange and floor at about a 45 degree angle.

Consider posting a photo of your flange. Take the rag out before shooting the picture.

I have had to fool with a lot of these over the years... they can get nasty.

Most have been broken off and damaged and
have been a nightmare to repair especially on a concrete floor.....

If your flange is still in good shape and not broken,
Just use 3 wax rings and sort of mold them or stack them together to
build a good seal to encompass the flange....

BE CAREFUL not to overtighten the bolts
especially on the side of the flange that only gives you two measly tits sticking out of the
wall of the flange to secure your toilet bolt too

I suggest if all goes well to go out and buy a tube of CLEAR ALEX DAP and
smear the dap along the base of the toilet and push it underneath the base
with your finger... use a liberal amount of DAP and get it well under the toilet base
It wipes off easily with a wet sponge or rag..... and it will set up solid in a day or two
and the toilet will be firmly secured to the floor....
..and will never move again in our lifetimes

Here is a picture from my last battle with one of these broken offset flanges

I was able to burn out---basically carve out--- the inside lip of the
broken flange with a ---red hot wood chisel--- to enlarge the hole and get the
new repair flange to slide down into the pipe and then glue it in solid
This is the best repair flange made on the market today.....is slides down into
the 3 inch pipe and you just glue it in and then you win.....:p

It did offset the toilet slightly from center but it was still all hidden under
the toilet and it was the only way to win the battle that day without tearing up
the concrete floor and destroying the bathrooms....... and it worked fine..

I had forgotten about this forum. Thanks for the reply. Top of flange is even with tile floor. I will get 3 wax rings and make an oval ring out of them. I had already installed the new toilet using 2 wax rings but it is leaking.

I will get 3 wax rings and make an oval ring out of them. I do need to stop the toilet from rocking. This is what I found at Home Depot... Is this what you are talking about? I was wondering what those tits were for. Now I know. Thank you for your time.

Alex Dap is available everywhere for about 3 bucks a tube....
and it sets up fast and is hard as a rock pretty quickly

Dap quick seal is ok but not as durable or tuff

Could not find Alex DAP at Home Depot. Had everybody and their mother looking. Settled on the KWIK Seal. I got 3 wax rings and used two. Cut a straw in half and placed those halves over bolts to make for easier locating. Lowered bowl down easy. I had marked location for 2 shims on the front without wax rings earlier as suggested. It should be good to go. Thanks again guys.
