What flange extender method would you recommend when the existing bras flange on copper pipe sits 13/16" below tile level?

Here is what I ended up doing . I decided to ignore the second shim Someone had a good point: the brass flange is designed to sit with its rim only in contact with the floor. If you offer support for that like below, you should be good.
In my case the spacer I could use was, in my opinion ideal: I bought one of these: https://www.homedepot.ca/product/lesso-4-in-abs-closet-flange-hub/1000116244 and the flange was exactly 7/16 thick !!! You need this particular model because it has this cross cut profile and it is easy to cut the flange off
After you cut the pipe off you will be left with a circular piece that you have to cut in two halves like below and then slide in and rotate to match the holes is the metal flange.
Here is a dry fit with the second layer of subfloor in
Cut along the red line and shave one of the sides or both sides of the cut till the two pieces go under the flange and align the holes with the metal flange

L brackets look like they their just for lateral movement. Toilet sit flush on the floor. Must be a gasket between the two not a wax ring.

Just See how far the flange will raise up for you ....
Shim up under the flange with some heavy duty plywood cut out in a
half moon pattern to fit from the top and bottom side of the flange..... if it is enough to work
then I suggest you nail down the plywood and screw down the flange to the new plywood
then if necessary use two wax rings to extend it up enough to work...
I would not try to use extensions or inserts in a copper pipe
