I live in Western, NY State in a 2 person household and am on a well that is 190' deep, 4 GPM flow rate. I currently have an older softening system that needs replacing and just had a water test with the following results:

Hardness - 10GPG/200PPM
Iron - .75 PPM
PH - 8.5
TDS - 0
Bacteria - 0
Copper - 0
Nitrate/Nitrite - 0

There is iron bacteria slime in the toilet tanks, however it is slight to moderate, sulfur smell is also slight. I have done a great deal of research and I know systems can range from the hundreds to many thousands, but are systems that have nationwide dealers (Pelican, Culligan, Kinetico etc.) any better than Clack, Fleck, or AFW?

Thanks in advance!

Impossible to have TDS=0 with those other numbers. Your water test, or your copying, is flawed.
