We had our new well drilled. Since we are trying to save money, they just drilled the well and we will install everything like aerator, pressure tank and well pump. Now, everything was plumbed and installed. The very first time we tried, the well pump wont shut off and when it reached 50 psi it would go back to 0 and keep cycling again to reach 50 and 0 again and never shut off. What do you think is the problem? Thanks. I appreciate it.

What kind of pump, submersed or jet? If submersed, the check valve would be built into the pump. If jet, you need a foot valve in the well.

It is a shallow well pump. So you mean we need a foot valve in the well? I do not have idea how to do that.

There is no check valve installed. And we dont know where to put the check valve. Is it by aerator or by well pump or pressure tank? Thank you.

The check valve needs to go on the suction side of the pump. Screw a metal, spring loaded check valve into the inlet of the pump. I would remove that high spot in the suction line and the two unions, as either or both can cause the pump to lose prime.
