I just drove a 1 1/4 well point to 22ft.water is holding in pipe. But hand pump will not move water. I live in Maine on a flood plane. We also love totally off grid. What could the problem be?

If the well point is in sandy soil, water can freely flow into the well and be pumped out easily. If the point is in tight clay, water will not freely flow into the point and it will not be easy to pump.

Point went down easy. 2inches every 10 hits. could it be clogged with clay? well point is 5 ft long.

The 5' screen on the well point must be in a water bearing formation. Either you don't have a water formation, or the point is too deep or too shallow.
