I need some help with this well, it's a deep well,100 foot 2 inch casing ,it has a sta rite mse7 ,a well company came out to put a new jet in , they put 10 foot of 1 1/4 of PVC , put the jet on that,then 35 foot of 1 inch PVC. Some people say the 1 1/4 is to big,it should be 1 inch all the way and the jet should be on the bottom
 
The advantage of the 35 ft of pipe between the jet and the foot valve is that it cannot suck air due to sucking all of the water out.

1-1/4 pipe is 1.66 inch diameter. So that should give enough annular space to carry enough water. A coupling could not be used however.

What I don't understand is the "10 foot". Is the foot valve about 45 ft down from the well seal, or is there something between the 10-foot pipe and the well seal? Why only 10 feet?

The problem started with the well loses the prime ,so he put the jet 8 feet down from the top, someone else told me the jet should be 10 foot from the footvalve,do you think I should use 1inch all the way and get rid of the 1 1/4

The well company did this to correct a leaking casing below 8' and it will work as installed. Some people don't know squat about vertical jet pumps.

The jet must be no more than about 25 feet above the surface of the water that you might want to draw up from. Not the static level, but the level the well draws down to. The actual amount that water can be sucked is based on barometric pressure and altitude assuming the quoted pressure has been adjusted to sea level. At high barometric and sea level, 35 ft has some margin. At low barometric pressure, and a few hundred feet of altitude, you may only be able to pull 25 ft. So while typically you can pump from about 30 ft, you want margin.

If there is only 10 feet of pipe above the jet, then the well folks were confident that the water level and flow rate were high enough.

This is a 2 inch casing situation with a packer type jet.
 
What do I need to do,if I was to put the jet on the bottom, because it's not holding a prime now, I can run the 1 inch pipe from the casing adapter to the bottom, can I put the jet anywhere on the bottom ,or does it have to be in a specific spot
 
You didn't mention that the system was currently losing pressure. If the packer is set above the casing leak, then the cup leathers or the foot valve on the tailpipe is leaking. The packer jet can't be set any lower in the casing due to the leak that the well company discovered. The system should work as installed without the 2 possible leaks that I described. I would try a 50/70 psi setting on the pressure switch to see if that prevents pressure loss.
 
So you are saying this short pipe to the packer would only make sense if there was a casing leak just below the packer.
 
I been doing a lot of looking into this ,I don't think there's a hole in the casing, because the ones I've seen, always has she'll in the water , when I pulled this pipe, the, section above the jet had no pressure,water , when I cut it below the jet,there was a lot of pressure and water , the question I have is how far from the footvalve can I put the jet,I'm going to put it back in the bottom
 
Somewhere between an inch and 36 ft.

Note that the long distance guarantees you cannot loose prime or suck the well dry.

But as the water level falls below the jet (~AKA ejector or venturi or packer), the less flow you will have as the uncovered tailpipe distance increases.

Since you have 35 ft now, it seems like a good idea to keep that, as long as you are not sucking sediment.
 
But the issue is , after you prime it ,it loses the prime in a day, the well was put in 2011, it's not that old ,I really don't know what is the best way to go, how would you go about fixing it

It loses prime when the pressure switch is powered, or only if you turn off power to the breaker? Losing prime means the pump runs, but it is not pumping water.

If you lose power only with the power off but the valve stopping water from feeding the house, the it could be a leaky foot valve. Close the valve, run the pump till it shuts off, kill the power. See if the pressure drops. If yes, replace the foot valve.

If the valve stays open, then there could be some water use such as a leaky toilet valve.
 
I have it apart now, but that makes sense,it would prime and shut off ,so I would shut the power off so I didn't burn the motor up,I would come out the next morning and it would turn on ,and no water , since the issue I stopped getting water into the house, since it's apart , can I still check the foot valve

The water leaked out above the jet and the foot valve on the tailpipe maintained water in the pipe. You could put the jet down to China and get the same result. You have had 2 different well guys work on this well with the same outcome within the past year. There is no way that both can be wrong in the same way a year apart. Keep the pump powered and pressurized with a pressure tank to maintain the seal above the jet.
