Hello All,

What water testing labs are you guys using nowadays to test your well water?

Has anyone used SimpleWater, TapScore? https://mytapscore.com/collections

TapScore seems to be the cheapest and includes shipping in both directions.

I'd prefer to use a local lab here in Maryland but they do not offer packages that include everything I'd like tested and their add ons make them extremely expensive.

I'd like to buy a kit to do some testing every 3 months or so. Has anyone used WaterSafe kits for routine testing? If not, what do you guys use?

Thanks...

Neil

Here are some notes on other lab tests I would look at:
http://envirotestkits.com/product/safe-home-select-drinking-water-test-kit/ $99 has the main things you need for softener etc.

Note that this offering has home bacteria test. For any bacteria test to be meaningful, you have to follow proper sampling techniques including sterilizing the faucet. If you care about the coliform test results, care needs to be taken in sampling. There are variations on suggested sampling techniques, but they have some other things in common:
https://www.doh.wa.gov/Portals/1/Documents/Pubs/331-225.pdf
https://www.anra.org/divisions/wate...nking_Water_Samples_for_Coliform_Analysis.pdf

https://www.digbydistrict.ca/559-water-testing-sample-taking-procedure/file.html
https://servitechlabs.com/Services/Water/WaterSamplingProcedures/tabid/128/Default.aspx
These all describe methods to avoid contaminating the sample.

http://www.e-watertest.com/ was the first water test I got. Now that KarLabs has closed, they are looking good to me again. This test includes tests for things that are seldom detected. If you click through from there, they now redirect to https://mytapscore.com/
