Hello,

New here, lots of great info on here.

I'm having a new home built and need a new softener system. Its a 3700 sq ft 4 bathroom home. There are 6 people in our household. The hardness from the city varies depending on the time of the year but the worst case is 16 grains. I'm located in Mesa Arizona.

My calculations based on what I've read online say I probably need a 64k.

The softener I'm thinking of going with is the Fleck 7000. There seems to be several different models. Of which I don't know the difference. Is this the right way to go?

Where is a good legitimate place to buy a system from?

Thanks in advance! I appreciate any guidance.
Rob

Try a local company first, see if they will give you a fair price. There are many online companies that sell units, but most go cheap on a lot of internal components including the resin, the riser, the mineral tank, brine tank etc. I will PM you a recommendation.

I have a Fleck 5600 in my home and it does the job well. I'm sure the 7000 would work well in your home as well. As far as the differences go, you just have to make sure you get the right capacity tank - as the Fleck 7000 is just the meter valve, not the actual water softener itself.
