In July 2017 I installed a Autotrol 268/762 Logix Metered 40,000 Grain Water Softener on City Water, 10"x44" Tank.

I have just found out the renters stopped added salt to the brine tank about three years ago. They also left the softener plugged in.

At this point the only thing I've done is clean out the brine tank.

Is there anything I need to do as far as maintenance other than adding salt to this unit to get it up and running again?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I would think adding maybe 4 gallons of water down the brine tube rather than on top of the new salt. Let it sit for an hour.

Watch that the unit backwashes, and then the brine gets sucked down.
Then maybe do another regen a couple hours later.
