Hello,
A plumber installed this drain line many years ago, the outlet is about 50 inches above ground, 21 inches tall at the air gap fitting, about 25 feet away and using 1/2 pvc pipe. Do you think there is a drain issue like backflow? I keep seeing lots of water in salt brine tank, is it cause by the drain issue? What u guys think?
Thanks in advance!

I doubt that your drain line is causing a problem. Liquid is not spilling out I presume.

High water/brine level in the brine tank would be caused typically be caused by the softener having a problem, such as a clogged injector, a vacuum leak in the brine line, or some seal problem. Are you comparing the brine level in the brine tank now vs how it was many years ago?

You are probably due for some maintenance, and if this is city water, the resin might need replacing.

No spill out, I plan to replace it w/ Aquasure Harmony 48000 and want to make sure the drain line won't cause any issue.
Thanks,
