Hi, I had an iron filter added to my system that already had a water softener. I recently noticed that the drain line for both of them are tied together with a tee. Do these devices need a back flow preventer or do they already have them built in. Can problems occur

Built in with Fleck and Clack and Autotrol, but don't regenerate at the same time.

Also, make sure the path is not too restrictive for the iron filter. Do you know the backwash rate for that?
