Water rough-in for basement peninsula island

I'm running PEX lines for a basement Peninsula Island. Is it best practice to run the PEX down the wall about an inch from the floor? So when the island is installed the water lines can be ran along the basement floor under the island to get to the sink?

It's done that way but you can do anything you want.
