Sorry if this is dumb but I'm new at this...I attempted the wire hanger method and that didn't get it to drain. Didn't work. Then I connected a female to female hose to the washer hookup and the tank valve to give it several blasts to clear the sediment and get it to drain, but it didn't work either.
What am I doing wrong? When the tank water supply is turned "on" at the top hot water and the valve is open at the bottom lots of new hot water will come out at the bottom. But when water is turned off and I try to drain the existing water it does not drain. Thanks.
