The house is a one story slab on grade 21 yrs old.
Water heater is electric, I cleaned, flushed,replaced anode, expansion tank, elements and sucked up the sludge in the bottom of the tank.
Heating elements are side mounted through tank at approx. 1' above bottom of tank the second set about 2' from first element.
Replaced anode.
Hammer occurs when water is running e.g. filling washing machine, toilet does matter hot or cold either one does it.
