Hi,

I'm redoing my laundry room and want to move the washer about 7 feet farther away from the utility sink.

Will I be able to run the drain hose that far or should I move the utility sink next to the washer?

If I need to move the sink, what is the best way to move/set up the sink drain?

Thank you

They sell washer drain extensions. You can use that to cover the distance.

  • Waste discharge
The waste from a washing machine must be discharged into a standpipe with an air break or into a laundry sink. The trap and fixture drain for the standpipe must be at least 2 inches in diameter. The standpipe must connect to a fixture branch, building drain, or stack that is at least 3 inches in diameter. "
