We recently wanted to put a new sink in our kitchen and the drain has always leaked. We had a plumber come out and he told us we would have to reroute the drain. He said he could fix it, but the sink put to much pressure on the drain and it would happen again. Any ideas if this is true or a quick fix?

I have NEVER heard of a sink putting "too much pressure on a drain". And IF it could happen, it would be the piping inside the wall which he cannot see, so how would he know? The drain ONLY leaks because the installer does NOT know how to put pipes together. You do NOT have a "plumber", you have a scam artist, so find a REAL plumber.

I have no idea what you handyman is saying. Get a new sink, and with the new sink, install new piping to it. I always toss the old stuff anyway.
