Unfortunately I am locked into wall hung toilets in the house. I have had American Standard over 30 years old and they are a very slow flushing fixture and want to upgrade to a toilet with a better flush. Water is not a concern.

I installed a pressure assisted American Standard and that also is a poor flush, so I am looking for some recommendations on a good flush wall hung toilet with a good power flush. I am on a well and water consumption is no issue.

Any help on this?? Thank

Terry

I've been installing a lot of the Gerber 20-021 Maxwell.
It's a gravity tank with 3" flush valve that outputs 1.28 gallons on a push and release. More if you hold the handle down. They work much better than what you have had.

You should be able to find them locally.

In fact I sell them in Anchorage.

Here are more installs that I did at Crystal Mountain ski area

Wife says the wall hung Glenwall with pressure assist is too loud, poor flush for paper and solids and has to go. Blows everything apart and requires a second flush to clear the bowl.. is the Gerber Maxwell my best option for a replacement wall-hung? I do not care about the water usage, just need a complete flush.. The replaced older American Standard is still in the shed and may have to resurrect it if I cannot find a good replacement

Terry.. I have to move on replacing the Glenwall wal hung, It is a poor flush and always has been for solids.. They sent me a new pressure vessel, but it is still just as bad. Is the Gerber Maxwall 20-021 still the best option for a wall hung replacement?? My other toilet is the older American Standard wall hung large tank which is an ok flush, just a slow flush.. As far as my existing Glenwall, my last option is to reinstall the older American Standard wall hung stored in the basement, but the Glenwall has to go. American Standard says they have had no re-design for the Glenwall…

I still prefer the Gerber Maxwell for a wall hung. It's a taller bowl and uses standard parts in the tank.
You can push and release for 1.28 gallons which works fine, or hold it down and drop something like three gallons real quick.
It's quieter than a Glenwall and doesn't shred. I even sell them in Anchorage.

And this is a crazy video that I shot in Anchorage at Blues Central with the band Ariz.
Just crazy stuff.

In my travels, I seem to be noticing more and more airport lavatories that have installed Toto wall-hung toilets and urinals. Don't know if it's that they are giving them a great deal, or they just feel that they are the best bang for the buck. Places like that look not only at initial costs, but long-term maintenance. Cleaning up a clog can quickly erase any material cost savings in lesser performing units via on-going maintenance required.

Geberit dominate the market (residential, commercial, hospitality) and they have 3 different carrier versions, some for 2x4 walls and another for 2x6 and a third for mounting in a pony wall built out from the main wall. The 2x4 carriers are taller to have enough cannister volume. The Geberit provides a long list of third party toilet bowls that work with their carriers, including Toto, Kohler, Duravit, and others.
