Amperage on the pressure switch is twice as much on 115V as on 230V. But as long as it doesn't cycle on/off too much that shouldn't be a problem. As long as the wire is large enough it is six of one and a half dozen of the other. But yes that is all you have to do to get it switched to 230V.

At 120V your higher amps heat the wires more so some small wattage is lost there.

All this said, I don't see the logic in getting a 120V standby generator or did I misunderstand? The panel is setup for a 240V genset.
