This is from the 1950s/60s. Two questions:

1. Is there any hope of replacing this drain?

2. How do I remove this drain when there is no nut on the underside? I feel like I'm going to crack the porcelain if I start prying.

ive cut the strainer with a sawsall on tubs befor cut it in a few places then chizzled it out . im guessing you dont want to damage the castiron. if you dont care angle grinder and cut off wheel take about 5 minutes.
