Viega Pureflow PEX that's been sprayed with foam

My steam shower pan leaked resulting in a full bathroom remodel. The plumbing in the house is all Viega Pureflow. I need to move some lines around for the remodel. The PEX I need to move has been sprayed with spray foam. I plan on using Pureflow press fittings. What's the best way to remove the foam to make sure the new fittings are secure?

I've never used the Pureflow press, but IF the press also relies on an internal connection like the crimp does, and doesn't seal outside the pipe like ProPress copper or a Sharkbite, I would think the pipe would not need to be spotless - just clean enough to allow the fitting to slip over the pipe enough to fully seat..

Acetone will pretty much dissolve expanding foam, but I don't know how it might affect the PEX, which by nature is pretty transparent to certain chemicals. I'd contact Viega and ask them about the acetone.

Easiest solution is to cut back to unfoamed PEX, since your pictures shows some of that to be accessible.

I reached out to Viega to see what their thoughts are.

Wayne - that's a decent idea. Remove one of the pex compression fittings from the spray foam area and just use all new pex.

This was Viega's response:

"Unfortunately we have not tested any products that would be approved for the removal of spray foam attached to our PureFlow PEX tubing and our suggestion is to replace any tubing that has been compromised if you have any further questions feel free to contact me here in technical support."
