I'm installing a Gerber 21-325 floor-mount rear outlet toilet in my 2nd floor bathroom but I've encountered a problem. My existing vertical 3" PVC DWV in the stud wall is too close the wall surface. The branch of a 3" sanitary tee is too long so the closet flange would stick out of the wall about 2". Its supposed to be flush or project up to 1/16" from the wall. Can I use a vent tee instead? The branch is quite a bit shorter so I think I could make one of those work
