Hi, I'm looking for advice to vent a three piece bathroom. I'm a carpentry contractor with a handful of these permitted bathroom renovations under my belt. This is my house and I'm doing everything. Its built in 1942 in Richmond Virginia, one level with a partial loft. My original plan was to vent straight up off the lavs san t. This location is at a bearing wall, 3 3/4 x 3 inch studs. The lavs located were I removed a closet door so there is a solid header above. Now we decided to install a 24 wide recessed medicine cabinet above the lav. I have a 2inch vent pipe stubbed through the roof above. There will be a new 2x4 wall, outlined in yellow, built in front of the existing wall at the drain end of tub. There is a 3x3x1 1/2 wye laid flat for the tub drain. To avoid drilling a 2 inch hole through the king stud is there another alternative place to tie a vent in? Thanks
