I am looking for advice on adding a shallow well pump on my 6" well with submersible pump for my house. My water table is high, near a natural lake, sits just 6-10' below the surface, I can look down the well and watch the water go up and down, past the pitiless adapter, then when the pump shuts off it comes right back up to its original point. I make snow in the winter which uses 2-2.5 GPM of water. I have a pressure switch and I do not want to short cycle my house pump. I would like to put a shallow well pump on my well when I make snow, to not use the house pump. Will this affect anything? Any tips?
-Thanks!
